Sheena Bora murder case’s prime accused Indrani Mukerjea has requested the jail authorities not to keep her in an isolated cell as it could depress her further. The jail authorities have accepted the request, after her recent health scare.
Dr Vijay Satbir Singh, principal secretary, home (prisons), met Mukerjea at the jail in Byculla on Wednesday. During the interaction, Mukerjea, who was discharged from JJ hospital two days ago, requested the authorities not to leave her alone as it could add to her depression.
The high-profile accused has the tendency to faint because of depression and so wanted to be kept in the company of other inmates. Mukerjea has also told the jail authorities that she was satisfied with the facilities inside the jail.

According to sources in the home department, the investigating officer has not found drug overdose as the reason behind the deterioration of her health. The investigation has also ruled out foul play or suicide attempt by the accused.
