The district transport office (DTO) of Kamrup (Metro) has again launched an operation against city buses that violate safety rules and other traffic guidelines. Temporary check-points were put up in Basistha road where all the vehicles passing thorough were examined.
"We have seized several city buses for various reasons. Some of them did not have proper first-aid boxes and some vehicles were unfit to be driven. We also booked drivers without valid driving licenses," DTO officials said.
